Monday, July 13th Camping at Modesto Reservoir, Ca.

Howdy!
We arrived at this County Park campground last night just east of Modesto, Ca. Since it was Sunday afternoon when we arrived there were plenty of day users nearby. Loud Spanish rap filled the air but disappeared when we shut the windows and turned on the AC.
However, today it is quiet with only a few campers still here. This is going to be a nice & relaxing day.

We have full hookups for the RV and our cost was $20. for two nights. Sharon likes it when we are settled for a couple of days because she can cook some really good meals. Sometimes, I even pull out the grill for some specialized cooking! (haha)
This also gives us a lot of one on one time where we can sit, talk, and relax without TV, radio, or other interruptions. This is so nice because most of the time people are preoccupied with their TV shows, computer time, and other time eaters that they just don't take the time to just sit and talk, hold hands, and take long slow walks with their love ones.

That gives me an idea - just maybe when we get to Wyoming, we will go on a picnic by way of horseback down by some little stream. Doesn't that sound nice?
Guess I will have to Google Wyoming to see what I can find.

Our campsite - lots of shade trees, no grass, but what a view. Water all around us. This is a small piece of heaven along the way!

Our welcoming committee. Canadian geese - 100s of them all over the place. This must be their summer home because this place is loaded with them.

Tomorrow we say goodbye to the geese and hit the road for an appointment to tour the winery and vineyards of Beringer in St. Helena (Napa Valley)
We will get to sample some wine, too. (Yum Yum) More later............. Happy Trails!
